The Zwin hiking trail introduces you to the great diversity of nature and landscapes in Knokke-Heist. From the Zwin Nature Park or the Oosthoek, you can wander through the Zwin dunes and polders and explore the Hazegras polder. Old sea wall dikes testify to the battle against the sea. You will walk through the King’s Forest, on bat paths and between Scottish highland cattle. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view over the Zwin plain.
The Waterdunen is a similar nature reserve to the Zwin between Cadzand and Breskens that is also definitely worth a visit. This area has an extensive walking system and information points. You can get there by car or bike.
Hikers are at the right address in Knokke. Various walking routes have already been mapped out for you, so you can discover the Zwin on foot or go along our Flemish coastline.
