‘THE BATTLE FOR THE SCHELDT’ WILL BE THE BIGGEST DUTCH FEATURE FILM IN 10 YEARS.

Amsterdam, 20 March 2019 – This autumn, the shooting of the Dutch war film ‘The Battle of the Scheldt ‘ will commence. This is what makes Levitate Film, Alain de Levita, Paula van der Oest and Mark van Eeuwen’s production company known today. The film is commissioned by the National Fund for Peace, Freedom and Veteran Care (vfonds) in the context of 75 years since the Dutch liberation and will premiere at the end of 2020. Matthijs van Heijningen Jr. has been recruited as director. The scenario was written by Paula van der Oest.

Follow up on the BATTLE OF THE SCHELDT IN THE NETHERLANDS HARRY POTTER ACTOR TOM FELTON ADDED TO CAST Amsterdam – 25 November 2019 – This week see the start of the second part of shooting the epic war film THE BATTLE OF THE SCHELDT. The first part of the recordings took place in Lithuania where the Zeeland Sloedam was reconstructed. For the second, cast and crew will settle in Zeeland and Belgium, where great scenes will be shot with hundreds of extras. New Dutch and international actors added to the cast include Tom Felton (HARRY POTTER, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES), Coen Glasses (DE OOST, VLIEGENDE HOLLANDERS), Theo Barklem-Biggs (THE INBETWEENERS, KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE), Scott Reid (CARNIVAL ROW), Pit Bukowski (KURSK, WERK OHNE AUTOR), Mathijs Scheepers (DE SMAAK VAN DE KEYSER, ZOT VAN A., CLAN).
